Just as the Two-Club Opener tells partner you are really proud of your hand, the Two No-Trump Bid boasts points also. However, unlike the Two-Club Opener, which can be unlimited in points and value, the Two No-Trump Opener is a limited bid and shows no-trump distribution. A Two No-Trump Opener contains 20 to 21 high-card points (no more, no less), and contains NO singletons and NO voids.

OK. That's a nice hand! No-trump distribution and 21 high-card points. Now, let's change it a tad, and make the queen of clubs a king. The hand now looks like this
AK ~~~ KQJx ~~~ AQx ~~~ Kxx
and now contains 22 high-card points. So what should you do?? If 2NT shows 20 to 21 points, how do you show partner 22 points? Easy. Open the above hand 2C (strong bid, artificial and forcing to partner), then rebid 2NT. This is also a limited bid, and shows partner 22 to 23 high-card points, and no-trump distribution.
If your hand contains 24 to 25 high-card points and no-trump distribution, opening the hand 3NT will convey this to partner. A hand containing 26 or more points should be opened 2C, then rebid 3NT at first opportunity.
